The Most Inactive Weekend I’ve Had

So this past weekend was probably one of the laziest weekends I’ve ever had, exercise-wise. Meaning I didn’t actually run or workout at all because I’m still sick. I am starting to feel better, but I still have a bad cough and cold congestion that pretty much keeps me from doing anything. Guess I should probably move “go to the doctor” up the to do list.

On Saturday I took it easy because I was really worn out from my week of travel and from being sick. I just hung around the house with Barry for most of the day. In the evening we took a trip over to the cell phone store to see if they would renew my contract early. I’m less than 30 days away from the end of my 2 year contract. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t renew early. Jerks. I’m considering crossing over to the “darkside” and making the transition from android to iPhone. Decisions, decisions….

On Saturday evening Barry braved the 20+ mph winds to grill us some steaks for Valentine’s Day. They were really yummy! I returned the favor Sunday morning (although, I stayed inside) by cooking us some blueberry pancakes. Nothing like blueberry pancakes on a Sunday morning, amiright?

By noon I was on the road up to my dad’s house for my final trip to the dentist (aka my uncle/dad’s brother). I’ll be headed over to his office later this morning to have my permanent crown put on – so glad to have all of this tooth stuff over with! Later today I’ll be headed back home, and back to work tomorrow.

Who else had the day off of work today? Happy President’s Day!
Did you celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend? Barry and I don’t make a big deal out of the day, but we like to get each other cards and have a nice dinner.
Android vs. iPhone: thoughts, opinions?

  1. We always go with Android. Kurt hates everything Apple. We were at Verizon getting new phones this weekend, too.
Our romantic Valentine’s dinner was at Which Wich. We like to avoid the crowds and we’re not fancy 🙂 Hope this is a better week for you!

    1. I feel like people always have a strong opinion one way or the other – I just want a phone that functions! Funny that you were at Verizon last weekend, too. I love Which Wich, but we don’t have one here. I enjoyed eating there two times while I was in Raleigh last week!

  2. Droid here too. My husband hates Apple as well and always discourages that route. I have to say I do love my new Samsung whatever it is…I think S5 mini. It does everything an iPhone does and it’s cheaper.

  3. Blueberry pancakes = yum!!!

Glad you’re starting to feel better! All that travelling has got to be exhausting, too!

As an iPhone user, I say come on over to the dark (aka. better) side. But I also have a macbook and ipad and such, so it’s just easier to synch everything when they’re all the same.

    1. Yes, so good! It makes sense to stay in one brand for all of your electronics, but I don’t have a tablet, so it’s just my laptop and phone. I think I may be starting to lean towards the iPhone, but still haven’t decided! Argh.

  4. So you were on I81 South in all that traffic, huh? I wondered if you’d come up to see your dad. Hope you got home not to long after you posted the “six hour” picture.

Bill and I are Apple all the way, and love our iPhones. Apple products are just so intuitive. Even I can figure things out on my own! 🙂

Bill and I both worked, but J,J, and D had the day off!

    1. I was! The road conditions were rough from the time I got on at mile marker 300. But I didn’t really start hitting issues until mile marker 134 or so. From there on it was a complete nightmare.

I remember you saying how much you love your iPhone 🙂
